Im ersten Kapitel erfolgt die Definition von „Menschenbild“. Im zweiten Kapitel werden die Hauptthesen des Humanismus erl�utert und mit der Theorie der klientenzentrierten Gespr�chspsychotherapie von Carl Rogers untermauert. Im dritten Kapitel werden das humanistische Menschenbild und Rogers Theorie an einem Beispiel angewandt. Zum Abschluss folgt eine Stellungnahme zur humanistischen Theorie. „Das Menschenbild ist der begriffliche Rahmen, auf dessen Basis menschliches Tun beschrieben wird und der fundamentale Wert definiert. Damit liefert das Menschenbild zugleich ein grundlegendes Erkl�rungsmodell und einen Rahmen f�r die Entwicklung konkreter Handlungsstrategien.“ (K�nig 2005, S. 34) Konkret hei�t das, dass man das menschliche Verhalten erkl�ren kann, wenn man wei� welches Menschenbild eine Person hat. D.h. zum einen ist das Menschenbild ein Erkl�rungsmodell f�r das Verhalten einer Person und zum anderen kann man darauf aufbauend konkrete Handlungsstrategien entwickeln, wenn man wei� welches Menschenbild eine Person hat. Man kann Probleme oder Situationen auf der Basis eines Menschenbildes deuten. (vgl. K�nig 2005, S.34) Jedes Menschenbild ist immer an eine �berzeugung oder eine Lehre gebunden und jeder Mensch besitzt ein ganz bestimmtes Menschenbild oder eine Mischung aus verschiedenen Menschenbildern, auch wenn diese Tatsache dem Menschen nicht immer bewusst ist. Ich w�rde z.B. von mir selbst nicht behaupten, dass ich immer ein humanistisches Menschenbild vertrete. In der P�dagogik gibt es viele Menschenbilder, wie z.B. das rationalistische, behavioristische oder das humanistische Menschenbild. Auf das letztere soll im Folgenden genauer eingegangen werden.

I just finished with my FIRST read-through of this inspiring book. I know Jason says (I feel comfortable calling the author by his first name because after after reading, I kinda consider him a friend) to go through the book chapter by chapter, but it is written with such a fun, engaging, personal voice that I couldn't stop! My book has a ton of dog-ears that I marked while reading to take a more in-depth look at those topics in my following read-thoughs. I'm looking forward to getting down to business & taking full advantage of the downloadable content provided for each chapter and topic.

This book is for the everyday Etsian that doesn't have any real professional business experience. In Art School, they teach you all the basics of creating art, but no real-life skills to market, sell, and make a living from the art that you create. I've been looking for a practical resource that teaches the basics of business (financial, marketing, writing a business model) but that relates directly to owning a crafty business. The author takes some pretty complicated business topics & breaks them down into bite-sized nuggets that are super easy to digest!

I've been (trying) to sell on Etsy for about 3 years on-and-off. I've done... okay, but not nearly as well as I'd hope to do. I'm not ready to give up & this book has given me a kick in the butt to take some of the tips & tricks and apply them to my business to help it grow.

Highly Recommended From a Business Coach

This book is essential if you want your Etsy shop to thrive. I love it and as a business coach for mompreneurs I will forever recommend this book to all starting businesses. It is a rare find and not filled with fluff like a lot of business books. The author is an actual CPA too so he knows what he's talking about when it comes to taxes. No more guessing on that. Thank goodness.

Good for serious etsy businessmen, but not for occasional etsy users

I am a new seller on etsy and after seeing all of the good reviews of this book, I decided to buy it.

Etsy-preneurship is definitely helpful, but I feel like it skimmed many topics (understandable to some extent, there are whole books written on marketing alone). I also did not find the "motivational" talk useful - writing down the idea behind your business, where you are going with it, etc. I would prefer more practical tips, which come towards the end of the book. In addition, the downloadable spreadsheets were something I can definitely live without, but others might like this feature.

That being said, if you are looking for an easy into to accounting/bookkeeping for etsy, this is a great book for you. In layman's terms Mr. Malinak describes the details of tax laws and other things one needs to know. This book is geared towards people trying to make a living on etsy, so I would NOT recommend it for people like me who have a full-time job and dabble on etsy in their free time.

This book is informative and enlightening. It is an excellent companion to the lives of English monarchs. It is remarkable how both can intertwine, highlighting the relationships that exist between both countries. My only reservation concerning The Lives of the Kings and Queens of France is that it can be a little dry in places, concerning itself with a ritual recitation of facts as opposed to the occurrences of personality dynamics, and how they can affect history.

I have a few books about the kings and queens of Britain which I've really enjoyed so I thought I'd learn a little about the French kings and queens. This book has a lot of information but is a bit dry. It's best as a refresher in French history rather than for the novice.
